Game Instruction:
TONG-ITS is a well-known card game in the Philippines, designed to be played by a minimum of three (3) to four (4) players. The objective is to either have the fewest points in cards at the end of the game or to play all the cards in your hand. Achieving a "Double Payment" is possible by emptying your hand. The game can also end with a DRAW or DEAL if a player knows they have the least points. Players may choose to FOLD if they believe their cards have high points.

If playing with Four (4) Players:
<ul>
<li>The dealer receives NINE (9) cards, while the other three (3) players are dealt EIGHT (8) cards each.</li>
</ul>

Commonly, TONG-ITS is played with THREE (3) players:
<ul>
<li>The dealer is given thirteen (13) cards, and the other two (2) players receive twelve (12) cards each.</li>
</ul>

Important Notes for all Players:
<ul>
<li>The initial Dealer is randomly determined.</li>
<li>Cards are shuffled by the dealer and distributed among players.</li>
<li>The gameplay proceeds counterclockwise.</li>
<li>The dealer must have won the previous match and hold thirteen (13) cards in the current game.</li>
<li>Players can choose to chow or pick a card from the central stack before discarding.</li>
<li>Consider "One Down Secret" or "Two Down Secret" strategies before making decisions during the game.</li>
<li>There are various ways to play TONG-ITS based on mutual agreements among players regarding rules.</li>
<li>All players must unanimously decide on the bet amount and payment method before commencing the game.</li>
</ul>

<li>THREE-OF-A-KIND</li>
<li>STRAIGHT</li>
</ul>

Melding is possible when you have three consecutive cards. Examples of valid three-card sequences include: 1, 2, 3 - 4, 5, 6 - 7, 8, 9 - 10, J, Q - J, Q, K of the same suit.

Connecting or SAPAW can be done when another player has melded. For instance, if an opponent melds straight cards (e.g., 7, 8, 9), you can connect by matching with a card of higher or lower value of the same suit.

The same principle applies to melding THREE OF A KIND cards. If an opponent melds three 8's and you have another 8, you can connect it to their meld. You may also pick up a discarded card to complete your meld or house.

Meld or Bahay occurs when you form a set of three or more cards. For instance, having 7, 8, 9 of the same suit allows you to meld those cards.
